Business Overhead Expense Disability Income Insurance

To be eligible for coverage, the business owner must:

• Own the business for at least one year – tax documents required as proof
• Actively work full-time – at least 30 hours per week – in the ownership, management and administration of the business
• Have a net profit of at least $10,000 for the prior year; and
  Not be operating the business from their home

Benefit Amounts: $500 through $20,000 monthly in $5 Increments

Renewability: Guaranteed Renewable to Age 65; Conditionally Renewable to Age 70

Occupation Classes: 4A, 3A, 2A

Issue Ages: 18-60 (Age Nearest Birthday)

Underwriting: Non-tobacco (no use of tobacco or nicotine-based products or substitutes within the last 12 months) and Tobacco

Elimination Period: 30, 60, or 90 days

Benefit Period: 12 Months or 24 Months

Issue Limitations: Available through Table 4

Basic Policy Provisions: Total Disability Monthly Benefit, Partial Disability Benefit, Presumptive Disability Benefit, Survivor Benefit, Rehabilitation Benefit, Waiver of Premium
