3 Things:

  1. I will be focusing many of my ideas around Annuity Care this year (an experiment of sorts).  Our overall block of business is about 80/20 Asset Care (Life Chassis) and all our trainings start there and I feel Annuity Care gets the short end of the stick.  I also feel that many of you know Asset Care very well and for more in 24, Annuity care will be more in focus.  I am not looking to swap one for the other, but to grow by a change of focus.
    1. Tax mitigation is a major part of an advisors roll with their client, and I suspect they overlook the simplicity of using the PPA (Pension Protection Act) as a way to encourage more LTC coverage and take the burden off of Medicaid.  This is done through a simple 1035 exchange of existing non-qualified annuities to any one of our Annuity Care Suite.  The tax saving happens in the new annuity is used for LTC, any distributions for care are tax free, even the gain from the interest.  Simple, easy way for producers to save their clients taxes.
    2. 3 basic questions to ask, that lead into discussing LTC and potential tax savings:
      1. Do you have any annuities in your portfolio?
      2. Do you want to pay less taxes?   Alternatively, Can I show you a way to pay less taxes
      3. What is your plan if LTC is needed?
