Reminder: Internal Exchanges on SimpleSubmit®

As a reminder, in January 2020, we expanded the ability to submit internal exchanges via SimpleSubmit (North American’s electronic application platform). An application is considered an internal exchange if it is replacing a Midland National or North American policy; or, if the existing policy has lapsed or been surrendered within 6 months of the new application being completed.

To avoid delays in processing your electronic application, it is important to select the “Internal Exchange” Request Type to ensure the application is submitted directly to Policy Change. If New Business is selected by mistake, this will delay the coding of the application in Policy Change. 

Note the following details regarding Internal Exchanges submitted via SimpleSubmit.

  • All required forms for an internal exchange are automatically included with the application.
  • Available to clients of all ages and face amounts, based on product specifications.
  • All internal exchanges will follow the traditional underwriting guidelines.
  • Within SimpleSubmit, if a Web-Based Illustration is ran, the plan information will autopopulate into the  application. This will reduce the time it takes to complete the application.
  • Available on all currently marketed products excluding Classic Term.
