New Look to the Explanation of Benefits

New EOB Design

We want to make understanding medical statements, as easy as possible for our policyholders. So, Mutual of Omaha recently redesigned the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to make it easier for policyholders to understand.

Here is what clients can expect:

• The new EOB will be easier to understand the breakdown between what is covered and what policyholders will owe
• A bigger font size, as well as call outs to important information
• Clearly defined sections
• A link to a helpful EOB Guide

Policyholders will begin receiving notifications the second week of February. We will contact all policyholders either by email or mail by the end of March.

Policyholders can still access EOBs by logging into our secure online Customer Access portal. An EOB usually appears one-two days after a claim is processed. To learn more about the benefits of Customer Access click here.
