Convertible Annual Renewable Term (CART) and CART Second Death (CART-SD) are designed for people who want low-cost life insurance for a relatively short period of time. These products can lock in insurability for your clients seeking more robust coverage, and allow them to convert when the time is right.

CART

Issue ages: 16-80 years old based in nearest birthday

Minimum face amount: $100,000 for all ages

Policy fee: $100

Renewable to age 80

Underwriting classes: Standard Non-Tobacco, Standard Tobacco, Special Risk

Riders: Waiver of Premium

Conversions: At issue through policy duration (10 years) until age 75.

CART-SD

Issue ages: Both insureds must be 16-80 years old based in nearest birthday

Policy fee: $200

Riders: None
Conversions: At issue through policy duration (10 years) until age 75.
