For the past few weeks, we’ve shared real stories about how life insurance has made a difference in people’s lives as part of Life Insurance Awareness Month. 

The Fiedler family’s story is a heartfelt reminder that planning ahead matters for young families, too. When 39-year-old Josh Fiedler died suddenly from heart failure while running on a treadmill at home, his wife, Liz, was left to grieve while caring for their 3-year-old daughter. Then, one day after Josh’s funeral, Liz learned she was pregnant. 

John’s life insurance policy gave the family one less thing to worry about during an incredibly difficult time, helping them stay in the home and on the Minnesota acreage he and Liz had worked so hard to build.
