Recorded 05/20/2025
Our most recent monthly webinar, titled Dental Solutions. If you missed the webinar, you can watch it on demand. During each webinar, you can ask questions through the Q&A chat. Below are some popular questions we received during the May 20th webinar:
Q: Can I share the Mutual of Omaha logo and information on my agent website?
A: Yes you can. Please reach out to marketing@mutualofomaha.com and we can supply a logo and information on use.
Q: How long is the 15% cross-sell discount good for?
A: The 15% discount is only valid if the dental policy is signed within 30 days of the Med supp issue date.
Q: Dental implants are expensive, how can a client get more coverage for that?
A: There are several ways a client can potentially get more coverage or reduce out-of-pocket costs for dental. 1) Choose a higher benefit plan – The Mutual of Omaha individual dental plans have a Lifetime Implant Maximum of either $2,000 or $3,000. 2) Pre-treatment estimate – a dental provider can submit a claim in advance to get a cost estimate and confirm what the insurance will cover before treatment begins. 3) Payment plans – many dental officers offer payment plans or third-party financing to spread out payments.
Q: Are there any exclusions for pre-existing conditions or missing tooth?
A: The Mutual of Omaha Individual Dental plans do not have an exclusion for a missing tooth. However, the exclusion will be removed at a later date, and it is not administered and would not be considered at time of claim. As mentioned above, pre-treatment estimate should be submitted in advance so the patient knows exactly what is covered under our plan.
Q: What % will be paid for dental implants?
A: Dental implants are considered a major service. Major services are covered at 20% on day one and 50% after year one. Our dental plans have a lifetime maximum dental implant benefit of either $2,000 or $3,000.
Q: Will the Dental plan include coverage for ortho, such as braces?
A: Orthodontia is not a covered benefit under the Mutual of Omaha Individual Dental plan.
Q: Is the information provided in this webinar for Med supp/dental only? Or can we apply these to Life insurance as well?
A: The information regarding setting up events, social media and connecting with your clients can be used for any type of insurance. Be sure to tailor your messaging accordingly.
Q: Does the Dental plan cover children or just adults?
A: It would be just adults as the age range is 19-99.
