WA State SecureCare Update

Securian completed our processing of all WA SecureCare applications by the deadline of 10/29^th to meet the states November 1^st opt-out requirement! There was an enormous effort by our case management, underwriting and business processing teams to accomplish this task. Thank you for your continued patience with us as we worked through this hurdle and now begin the task of catching up on non-WA SecureCare business that has gotten a bit backlogged this past month.

I’ve previously communicated that SecureCare would be available in WA again today, November 1^st. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen delays in reinstating the product in WA, it won’t be available for illustration or application until 11/17. The rates in WA will be the same as SecureCare in other states. If you have pending WA business, look for the application and illustrations to be available on Wednesday 11/17.
