Coverage Outlined During MassMutual Underwriting Meeting Being Held 05/14/2024 – 05/17/2024
During the week of May 13, the MMSD Underwriting Department will be attending MassMutual’s Annual Life Underwriter Fly-in at the home office in Springfield, MA. MMSD Underwriting leadership will travel to Springfield on Monday, May 13 and our underwriters will travel on Tuesday, May 14. All MMSD Underwriters will be travelling home the afternoon of Friday, May 17.
The theme of this year’s meeting, First Offer, Best Offer, will focus on expanding our use of electronic data sources and the importance of critical thinking to ensure we are putting our best offer on the table the first time. This meeting is designed to provide our underwriters with educational forums and networking opportunities for personal development.
Coverage during event
To ensure that you still have access to members of our staff while enabling the team to focus in the learning environment:
- Underwriting production time has been built into the agenda throughout the event.
- For pressing matters or escalations, please e-mail the assigned underwriter and copy MMSD Underwriting Directors Jordan Jonassen and Denise Roeder.
- For large underwriting cases (>$10 million face amount), please e-mail the assigned large case underwriter and copy Cody Socher, Head of MMSD Underwriting.
