Tips for Getting Business Completed by the End of the Year

With the fourth quarter already underway and the end of the year right around the corner, getting last minute business completed can be tough. Luckily, there are a few things you can do to help increase the chances of converting submitted applications to placed business by year-end.

  1. Provide payment with application
Make sure your business gets placed faster by submitting new life insurance applications with payment. Keep our initial premium acceptance rules and acceptable forms of money in mind when submitting applications to make sure your cases are efficiently pushed through.
  2. Utilize Protective Velocity’s capabilities (including TeleLife® and electronic policy delivery)
Once an application is submitted, our TeleLife team takes care of the rest: completing the interview, scheduling exams, ordering records and requesting additional information. The efficiency is clear – on average the cycle time is reduced by 12 days.
EPD allows you to deliver a client’s policy electronically and track delivery status. With electronic policy delivery, you can receive a client’s signed policy up to five days faster.
  3. Save time and reduce waste with e-signature
Reduce turnaround times and eliminate the need to print, mail and store paper documents with e-signature. Clients can sign anytime, anywhere by opening a secure link and following instructions to sign documents electronically. Whether you use Protective’s or one of our partners’ applications, using an e-signature platform is a great way to speed up the application process.
  4. Self-service emails for pending business
Manage pending cases by signing up to receive daily automated emails throughout the Protective Life underwriting process. You’ll have the ability to receive emails, immediately notifying you of status changes or receipt requirements. To receive these email notifications, log in to myprotective.com with your username and password. Under the Pending Business widget on your dashboard, select Manage Pending Business Email Notifications to update your notification settings.
