Notification: Pausing SMS Text Alerts

We’re pausing SMS text alerts in Horizon

What’s happening? Due to recent rule changes around SMS text messaging, we will be pausing usage of this method of communication to ensure we are fully compliant with the changes. We anticipate we will re-enable SMS text messaging in the Horizon platform by late September. 

Why does this matter?  Our Horizon platform utilizes both email and SMS text to send alerts to your clients during their application process. These alerts include one-time password resets, reminders to complete applications, new information or questions that need to be completed, etc. While these alerts will still be getting to your client via email, this method of communication has a lower response rate. We want to ensure that the applications you are sending to us have the highest application completion rates as possible.

What can you do?  Encourage your advisors to let their clients (who recently received an application) know that we won’t be sending text reminders to them. Also encourage them to follow up with those applicants that have not completed the application. This will ensure you help keep completion rates as high as possible.
