Adapting to rapid changes seems like the norm for today’s fast-paced life, and this year is no exception. I’m struck by the resiliency we’ve shown in our personal lives and in business. I am very proud of all we’ve accomplished together, and on behalf of Athene, I want to thank you for your business.

Athene is strongly positioned to continue supporting the efforts made by you — our important partners. Through our combined efforts, these are a few significant achievements we accomplished this year:

  • Earning an A+ from S&P and a positive outlook from Fitch1
  • Achieving our best-ever quarter for fixed indexed annuity sales (3Q2021) and maintaining our #1 industry ranking for the year2 — from last to first!
  • Earning SRP’s Best Carrier award and FIA of the Year awards, the second time in four years, and SPI’s inaugural Best Carrier award
  • Continuing significant investments in providing a top-tier producer experience

Looking ahead, we expect to close on our merger with Apollo in January 2022. The merger will take us from two separate companies with aligned but not identical objectives: to one company, fully aligned with shared objectives. This strategic advantage will put us in an even better position to do what we do best — providing you with solutions to grow your business and provide your clients with exceptional value.
